we're taking shortcuts & false solutions

So I'm trying to go to cosmo school in August. I was just going to go to Mott, I made a few phone calls today to help me on my application journey. So to say. Well I was feeling pretty confident so I went to go apply online and the first two questions on the application are SSN & Zip Code. I typed those in and hit next.

... So the page loads and tells me I'm already a registered student.

wtf? I have never applied to Mott. Yes, I took 2 art classes there while I was enrolled at UofM-Flint. But I didn't think those two classes instantly made me a student. So now on Friday, my day off, I have to make a trip to Flint. What. A. Pain.

My day with Jenni!

Yesterday I had a complete day off and with no boyfriend in sight it was time for some much needed girly time. ;) I met my friend Jenni at her house and we made a short five minute trip to Birmingham so we could walk around downtown. We saw this awesome bed at Anthropologie and it made me think that I want a dock bed!!!! Haha. It's so cool looking and very unique. Something I must ponder if I ever get super creative. It would probably be a very big PAIN to move around. xD

We went and got cupcakes at this cute little place. It was so hard to pick WHICH one I wanted! I ended up getting two of the small ones (which basically were two bites.) But I ended up getting cookies & creme and a red velvet cupcake. They were sooo good!!! All and all we did a lot of sight seeing and just walking around. It was the perfect day for it because it wasn't too warm and it wasn't cold either! :)

After I dropped Jenni off I went to Somerset with my mom. We had a lot of fun shopping there. There were so many cute summer clothes that I wanted.... but of course couldn't afford!!! I think my favorite piece was this cute little dress from Urban Outfitters. It was bright yellow with white flowers and of course a bubble bottom hem. But like I said it was way too expensive. xD

Alright now I'm going off to work!!

So here's my birthday update. On Tuesday I woke and didn't feel ANY different. Haha. Much to be expected in my opinion, but Brandon was insistent that I should feel different. Whatever, so not the point of this post!! I went shopping by myself & bought some awesome clothes. Then I had lunch with Brandon but then he had to go to class. :( I came home and had a little snack with my Dad and he bought me my first drink! It was something fruity & not that great tasting. Then it was time for Applebees. We started the night off with drinks and food. I had people buying me shots and I hateeee shots. But because it was my birthday I had to drink them. At some point we decided it was time to go to Sagebrush and I got this awesome frozen margarita. I apparently called my friend Stacy and talked for a solid 2 minutes about said frozen margarita. Haha.

All and all it was a pretty damn good birthday and we had a lot of people show up! I felt loved. :) <3 Yesterday I went to Novi mall with my friend Erin. We did a lot of gossiping & shopping and it felt SO good to go shopping with someone other than my boyfriend. (Even though he does a pretty good job of putting up with me when I go shopping, it's still not the same as going with a girl.) We got lots of goodies, but then it was time to leave. I went and had dinner with my dad & we watched 2 episodes of the show Dollhouse. It was pretty interesting, I think I liked it though. Then I went to the bar where my friend was having HIS birthday. We stayed until almost 1:30, and then I drove him home (but not before he NEEDED McDonalds...) and then I went home and went to bed. And basically here I am!

Presents!

Ok, so I've gotten a few of my birthday presents early and let me say they are all sooo awesome! My boyfriend got me the entire series of Sailor Moon on dvd and it includes the 3 movies that were made. Soooo awesome. And then my sister got me some awesome earrings & a gift certificate to this etsy shop. ahhhhmazing. Annnnd I got my new Betsey Johnson purse from my mom and she also got me the latest Chelsea Handler book, Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang. So I'm super excited to start reading that!!! :D

I'm off to work for the rest of night, figured I'd just do a quick update on lovely presents! :D

The birthday hunt.....

Okay, so my dad gave me some money for my birthday, a little early but here's the catch! I have to spend this money on items and basically showed him an itemized receipt so I'm not spending ANY of this money on bills/food/gas...etc. I'm thinking perfume or books. I really want the Ed Hardy perfume but it's still a little more then what I was given. I guess I'll have to look around and do some pricing. Maybe I'll hold off on spending any $$$ until I get my gifts from mom/boyfriend so that way I won't buy anything that they might have already gotten!! Because I've been known to do that.

Any ideas are also welcome. I probably will buy the 2 Chelsea Handler books that I don't have.... hmmmm. I'm off to go watch the What Not To Wear marathon... I'm so lame on a Friday night!!!
